Review and Reassurance
It may be that you already have a Will but that it was written and signed some time ago. Perhaps an additional child has been born who is not mentioned in the Will or you have changed you mind about how you want your assets to be distributed. It may just be that addresses are out of date or you have changed your mind about the charities you want to support. Your Will as it stands may allow for you to make the necessary changes by way of an informal note which when put with your Will directs your executors to do what is necessary. It may however be that your is no longer fit for purpose and needs to be rewritten. Julia offers a review service which can put your mind at rest. This process involves having a conversation about your personal circumstances and in light of that looking at whether your Will still does what you want it to. Often nothing needs to be changed at this stage. Whatever your circumstances it is advisable to review your Will regularly, every 3 – 5 years and particularly if there is a birth, marriage, divorce or a death in your close family and as children pass into adulthood. |
