I am a lawyer and was admitted to The Law Society of Scotland in 1985.
After graduating from Aberdeen University I undertook my traineeship in Edinburgh and Crieff. I then worked dealing with Private Clients at McLean and Stewart, Dunblane where I spend 7 happy years.
I was asked by The Royal Bank of Scotland plc to head up their new Will Writing Department in Edinburgh. I jumped at the chance and stayed with them until my family came along.
Since returning to work I have been with several legal firms and over the last ten years I have been tutoring part time in the Law Department at Stirling University. Most recently delivering the Trusts and Succession course. In May 2022 I retired from this role to concentrate on my own business.
I have very close personal experience of the pain and difficulties caused by loved ones avoiding the issue of writing a will; I feel strongly that we should all take a little time to get things in writing and really take care of our family. I have the detailed knowledge of how the law works in this area and can simplify the process for you; it can be a daunting thought but I can help and make it easy for you.
